The recent unanimous passing of Juneteenth as a federal holiday by the U.S. Senate may seem new for some of us in our communities, however, it has been celebrated, recognized and honored for over 150 years by our Black and African American communities across the country.

STRYV365 will recognize this holiday for our employees and encourage all to take time this weekend to celebrate and learn more about this important date, the commemoration to the end of slavery in the United States, and relearn an important part of human history. A few historical resources are listed below but another great way is by learning from others. If you are looking for events this weekend, be sure to check out local Black-owned businesses, restaurants, and celebrations that are planned across the Milwaukee area this weekend.
