Today we are covering Assess, which is the A in the CRAFT Change Process. To simplify assess, it is the thinking process of creating solutions to your problems. The CRAFT Change Process is a practice that allows students to make better and healthier choices in their everyday life through fun and engaging activities!

Ways to help students assess is to ask open ended questions allowing students to reflect. Allow them to write down what they learned and consider how to apply the concept or skill. After every lesson of CRAFT, I like to have students do an activity called 3-2-1 which helps stimulate student reflection and process of learning.

3) What did you learn from this lesson?

2) What do you want to learn more about?

1) What questions do you have?

Try this Assess Activity and use 3-2-1 with you student to see what they have discovered.

This activity is called “Cup Paper Tower”, the materials you need are:

-       Plastic Cups

-       Note Cards or Small Pieces of Paper

Check this video out for exact details!
