Education Manager

Kristin Bolan joined STRYV365 as Education Manager in March 2023. Kristin brings with her a kaleidoscope of experience working with communities aiding the building of solution-based pathways that respect the dignity and worth of people and their communities and allow folks to self-actualize. She is passionate about making it happen for the greater good.

After graduating with her Bachelor’s in Social Work and a minor in Photography, Kristin worked within the social service sector in Milwaukee. Among the highlights was establishing a role for Recovery Support Coordination within Wisconsin’s first Family Drug Treatment Court at Milwaukee’s Vel R. Phillips Youth and Family Justice Center.

Kristin had the honor of supporting Project 562: Changing the Way We See Native America and All My Relations Podcast founded and created by Matika Wilbur (Swinomish, Tulalip). She played a critical role in the publication of the Project 562 book which debuted on the New York Times Best Sellers List. Within both these roles, Kristin wrote winning grants, piloted curriculum, organized museum exhibitions, and listened to and archived countless stories of Indigenous contemporary experiences among many professional contributions that centered on accurate representation of the contemporary Indigenous experience that uplifts Native youth and creates a bright future far from the outdated and harmful stereotypes they experience.

Professionally and personally, Kristin loves swimming. She is a swim coach, swim teacher, open water swimmer, and cold dipper.
